Ahjing felt nervous seeing the two guards nearing them. Luckily, before they can be seen by them, her miss quickly pulled them in a corner to hide.

Xingxing then told her to run and hide separately with the little boy. But the two stubbornly refused to run, and with a resolute expression, they insisted on staying with her.

"Miss! i'll choose to be flogged a million times than to leave you alone!" Ah-jing declared with a serious face. Even the little guy who was silent the whole time; when he learned the girl's plan, he immediately tightened his grip on Xingxing's robe, not wanting her to leave.

'Aiya~'

Seeing the two stubborn fellow infront of her, with a serious expression; declaring their strong opposition to her "escape plan", Xingxing felt helpless and at the same time, warm in her heart.

The corners of her mouth curled upwards.

'In this Harsh and cruel world, where can you find such people who insistently stick with you even if you're stuck in a tough situation'

Not wanting for the them to misunderstand, she patiently explained the situation to the two. She squatted to level with the little boy's face and held his and Ah-jing's hands.

"Listen to me, this is the only way. I'll take the attention of those jerks while you two escape, okay?" Xingxing said while intently staring at the two. Seeing their unwilling expressions pasted on their faces, she helplessly smiled.

With a face full of reassurance, Xingxing raised her hand to make a promise.

"Don't worry, i wont get caught"

The little guy in her side cautiously pulled the hem of her robe which made Xingxing turned her attention to him. His wet deer-like eyes were seriously looking at her.

On his cute dumpling like face was a pair of clear doe-like-eyes that were somewhat wet and the tip of his nose was red. He's seemingly looked anxious and scared.

She stared at that raised tiny little pinky finger that resembles a cute little lotus root.. .

Those tiny little fingers that were gripping Xiao Xingxing's robe earlier were now raised infront of her face. A smile appears oner beautiful face. She lifted her hand and entertwined her pinky together with the little one's as she spoke the words "I promise"

Though still reluctant to part, the little boy decided to break free from Xingxing's hand and stood side by side with Ah-jing, who's face was now brimming in tears.

She instructed the two to hide. With eyes full of worries, the two constantly looked back from time to time at the gradually dissapearing figure of the girl.

Afrer making sure that they were away, Xiao Xingxing made a small commotion in order to lure those two burly guards into chasing her. She purposely kicked a pile of boxes that were being brought out in a certain vendor's cart. The boxes flew out and were in a mess, vegetables inside were scattered all over the ground.

The vegetable owner was fuming mad, seeing all of his precious vegetables being tossed on the ground. He directly yelled and scolded the main perpertrator of this incident for destroying his business and ask him to compensate for the money he lost.

The roaring voice of the vegetable owner grabbed the attention of those two guards. Withing the crowd, the two immediately saw a familiar of the young man. Without further ado, they quickly made their move towards them.

Knowing her plan was successful, Xingxing revealed a smirk on her face.

They were about to catch "him", when the "young man" sneaked out from the vegetable owner's sight like a rat and run like a rabbit. When the thought of being able to please and be rewarded by their young master if they catch those trouble makers, aroused in their minds, they quickly ran and chased after "him".

The three run unto the corners of the street in circles, portraying a scene of cat chasing the mouse until exhaustion beats them. The two guards hastily chased "him" but the "young man" was sneaky, and was faster than them, thus in the end, they lost sight of "him".

Xingxing on the other hand was just hiding behind two big pillars. She cant help but giggle as she silently observe the dumb expressions of those two guards as they keep on running back and fort.

'Hehehehe want to catch me? dream on!'

Just as she was feeling happy with herself, a big hand suddenly appeared on her arm which forcefully grabbed her from behind. She let out a scream but her mouth was suddenly blocked by another hand. In fright, Xingxing unconciously closed her eyes. The next thing happened was that, her entire being was enveloped by a pair of strong arms and her pitiful nose ended-up slamming a seemingly hard wall.

"AW!" Xiao Xingxing let out a pitiful cry due to the pain coming from her prescious nose. She wants to rub it but her hands were at her back. A strong hand held tightly on both of her wrist and was keeping her from moving her arms. Xingxing opened her eyes and angrily looked-up at the culprit who made her like this.

Her flaming eyes fiercely stared at the man infront of her. Both mouth and eyes frowned and her eyebrows scrunched downward in anger. Seeing the girl's angry face, which resembles an angry little tiger; this made the man raised his brow. He was somewhat amused by her expression.

The corners of his lips unconsciously curved upwards. He didnt know that someone can be this cute and fierce when angered.

Xiao Xingxing was taken a back the momemnt she saw the man's face. She almost cursed in shock. But luckily, she suppressed it in time.She quickly gulped a big mouth-full of saliva down to her throat. She didn't even have the heart to notice that slight curve on the man's lips.

'OH SH**' she cursed in her mind 'What the f*** is happening?!'

Xingxing frowned 'Why is he here?'.

'Why is he holding me? restraining my hands like this? I can't move you know'

She keeps on struggling, moved her body in order for her to break free. But that pair of big hand on her back was too strong for her.

As she was resisting him, Xiao Xingxing felt pain from the peerless man's hold. She stareddirectly at those mesmerizing pair of eyes of his; with anger pasted on her beautiful face.

"What do you want?!" Xingxing roared.

The peerless man continiously stared at her without any expression present on his face.

With the man's silence; coupled with nervousness and her racing heartbeat, a tinge of annoyance crept inside Xingxing's heart as she waited for his reply.

The man was about to open his mouth when they heard voices coming from the other side. Unluckily, It was from those two jerks of a guard, who's insistently searching for her.

Xingxing felt that the voices were nearing from the place she was hiding. She wanted to run and escape, but she was held captive by this beautiful man.

She then again, tried her best to break free from the man's unbreakable strength but failed in the end. Xingxing frowned and voiced-out her annoyance to the man.

"You! I dont care if your handsome! O--or how tempting your looks are!" She bit her lips and continued. "I dont have a time to appreciate your beauty right now! All i want is for you to release my hand and let me escape from this place!"

Despite of all her struggling and shouts, the peerless man, remains unmoved like a block of stone. He casually stared at the struggling girl in his hands. The man continued to stare at her and after some time, he finally decided to speak "Where is he?"

As soon as those three words entered Xiao Xingxing's ears, she couldn't help but shiver. The man's voice was soo deep and icy-cold.

While pondering who was that 'He' in the man's question, that icy-cold voice which sent shivers down her spine, then again rang in Xiao Xingxing's ears. The man's question was still the same. "Where is he?"

'WHO THE H*** IS THAT HE HE'S REFERRING TO?!'

Xingxing didnt have the time to care with the man's question. The voices were nearing and if only a single step was taken, she will be seen by those two.

Xingxing felt nervous, her heart pounded like a drum. Desperation to run away envelopes her entire heart. She kept struggling at the peerless man's hold but was still helpless in the end. She finally saw the two guards walking towards their spot.

The man stared at her. He knew why this little tiger kept on resisting. It was because of those two fools. Though the peerless man seems to be oblivious of his surroundings because of his expressionless face, he actually sensed those two guards' foot steps the moment this little tiger starts yelling at him.

'Even if those guards found them, Who Cares?!.'

'They will end up meeting his sword anyway. So, why would he bother himself with those dead people.' His obsidian eyes met the girl's pair of deep-round eyes.

Xiao Xingxing bit her rosy lips, looked at the direction of the two guards then at the peerless man infront of her. There was an inexplicable look in her eyes. The man stared at her. He frowned when he notice something with look in her eyes. There was desperation and at the same time hesitation in her of deep round eyes.

As he's mind was lost in the beauty of those mesmerizing eyes. The girl in the man's embrace suddenly made a move. She looked up; tiptoed as if she was reaching something that was in a high place. She leaned closer to his face and pressed her lips to his. Xiao Xingxing took the opportunity while the peerless man wasn't paying attention and directly kissed him.

When their lips met, the man freezes. The sweet thing on his lips felt incredibly warm and soft, even though he knows about that thing called kissing and accidentally saw something like this in a book when he visited Xufeng's home. He was completely taken aback by the feeling of being kissed especially by those rosy and plump lips he just saw a while ago.

A kind of tingly-numb sensation runs through Xiao Xingxing's entire body. She felt extremely nervous as her heartbeat quicken.

Xiao Xingxing never intended to kiss him but he left her with no other choice. Her two hands were held tightly by this guy. She has to escape but can't run. So kissing him was the best thing to do in her situation.

Actually, this was an idea she came up from watching and reading too much rom-com back at the modern world.

Luckily, her memory was good and remembers a scene like this one on one drama she watched back then.

Never in Xiao Xingxing's life would she imagined using this kind of shamefull trick one day.
