Corvo winced in pain as he shook of Dante's hand massaging his hand as he replied. "It's what everyone has look." Corvo in buttoned his shirt so Dante could see a black rat running across his chest. "It shows your with us it's easier than using colours."

"Ok but I thought we would be more like business partners rather than me joining your little group." Dante said with a frown.

"Yeah but we need something to identify you with and a mask can be faked but a tattoo can't." Corvo said seriously.

Dante sighed. "Fine but I am not having a rat."

"Fair enough." Corvo said as he turned around and picked up a box from behind his chair and placed it on the desk. Unpacking the contents of a tattoo needle and some ink picking up the needle he asked. "What and where would you like it?"

"How much experience do you have with this?" Dante questioned as he took off his jacket and rolled up his left T-shirt sleeve.

"Eh a little bit I guess." Corvo said.

"Brilliant." Dante muttered.

"So what do you want?"

Dante positioned his chair so he was facing perpendicular to the desk placing his left arm on it. "Let's go with a black R can you do that?"

"Of course I'm quite capable of doing a simple design like that the side of your shoulder ok?"

"Yeah I guess that's alright." Dante said taking deep breathes as he waited for Corvo to start.

Corvo position his desk lamp to give him the best light before saying. "Right let's get started." as he pressed the needle into Dante's skin.

Dante felt a dull pain as the needle was pressed down on his skin. "Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." He thought as he focused on the wall in front of him as Corvo immersed himself in his work.

Time flew by as Dante stared at the wall until Corvo stated in a pleased voice that he was finished. "Finally." Dante said as he looked at Corvos work a cursive black R soaked in ink and blood had been engraved on his shoulder.

"Hey this is harder than it looks." Corvo said with annoyance as he put his tools away before wiping the sweat of his fore head.

"Alright, Alright it's hard for both parties." Dante laughed trying to appease the person in front of him. Rolling his sleeve back down, picking up his jacket and putting it on he sighed. "I'm gonna go and see if Poppy has left anymore dead bodies around you coming?."

"Sure actually Lucifer I have a job for you."

Dante stopped walking towards the door and turned back. "What kind of job?"

Corvo looked at him with a smile. "Someone has gone over the due date for one of their loans and I want you to get my money back."

"You decide as long as a message is conveyed."

"Ok who and where?"

Corvo went to the filing cabinet besides the door opening a drawer he flicked through some of the files until he found the one he was looking for. "Here it is Jacob Whiting everything you need to know is in there the amount he owes me is $5,500 and I would like it by the end of today." Corvo said handing it to Dante.

Dante eyed it cautiously before accepting it. He looked Corvo in the eye with a resolute voice he said "consider it done." Before tucking the file under his arm and walking out of the office.

As the door closed Corvo sat back at his desk he leaned back before smiling sinisterly "that's good."

Dante walked out of the office to find the man Barry staring at him deciding to ignore him he walked out of the cafe to find Poppy flipping and catching one of the tomahawks Poppy recently acquired. Seeing Dante walk out Poppy called out "Out already? Would have thought you would be in there another hour."

Dante sighed "sorry had something come up but I've got us a job if you are interested."

Poppy looked up at him and said "ok let's go."

Dante started to get suspicious "uh don't you need to think about it?" He asked.

"If your going then it should be fine after all I just want to follow you." Poppy said with a smile and wide eyes.

Dante was a little taken back by the child's innocent actions and like an older brother Dante thought it would be best to explain the situation before he accidentally dragged this sweet child on a road that could leave to damnation. Dante grabbed Poppy's face and looked directly into the child's eyes before saying. "This job will lead us on a road, a road that could be very long filled with blood, bodies and pain. I am not going to sugar coat it this choice could very well cost you your happiness are you still going to go through with it?"

Dante stared into those pale blue eyes still shining of child like innocence. As he heard a firm reply. "I will follow you on that road. I will share your pain and help you when no one else will. I will make you feel like I did back in that alley and with this I shall repay my debt even at the cost of my life."

Dante chuckled "I will hold you to those words."

"I know." was the reply he got as he stooped down and picked up the file he dropped.

Opening it up he read the first page before looking at Poppy and asking "where's Bluebell close?"

Poppy laughed before saying. "Follow me." As the pair walked swiftly down the street one had his head stuck in a file whilst the other was floating around like a humming bird as they carried on into clearing skies of that afternoon.
