Blossoming Flowers

Chapter 80:Feeling Insecure

The kiss was hot, and Han Qingshan was drawing out all the air in Jiang Yingyue's body, he was feeling more and more aroused, and he plunged deeper and deeper into the kiss; his hands resting on the bed, on either side of her head, wanting to engrave her taste into himself.

It was not before Jiang Yingyue started to stir from lack of air that Han Qingshan unwillingly released her lips and straightened his back.

His eyes were burning with a fervor that he had never experienced before, his tongue gently licking his lips as if to savor the lingering taste of Jiang Yingyue, and he then knew that he was a lost cause.

"I never thought I'd turn gay," he muttered to himself as he observed the sleeping girl slowly fall into a deep slumber again. Her soft lips were slightly swollen, and her cheeks were adorably flushed red from the lack of oxygen she had experienced before.

Han Qingshan was struggling. He was not doubting the fact that he liked women and had no interest in men, but there was a man in front of him whom he could not help but want to own completely.

Never once had it crossed his mind that Jiang Yingyue was a woman, he was so certain that she was a man, that he did not even notice the many hints and signs that were surrounding them.

Jiang Yingyue was sleeping peacefully, unaware of the stormy emotions that were swirling within Han Qingshan's mind. She was blissfully resting, not knowing that he was struggling with the thoughts of having been turned gay.

Looking at her, he could not help but snort. "Heartless guy," he muttered to himself as he traced his finger down her face, once again landing on her lips.

His eyes turned red, and it took all his willpower to rush out of the bedroom, going into the bathroom. There, he allowed for the cold water to cascade down his body, trying to exterminate the heat that had been rushing in his body.

The following day, Jiang Yingyue woke up unaware of what had happened the previous night. She felt rested and energetic, and it was still early in the morning, so she rushed to the bathroom to wash up before she would cook a delicious breakfast for Han Qingshan. She knew that he had not left yet, as it was simply too early to do that.

So humming a children's song, Jiang Yingyue went to the bathroom to wash up, change her bandages, and get dressed.

When she finished, she went into the sitting room, on the way to the kitchen, and she was stunned when she saw that Han Qingshan was sitting on the couch, bending over his laptop, and working fully focused.

Jiang Yingyue looked at his face, and saw that he had dark circles under the eyes; he had clearly been working throughout the night, and he seemed exhausted.

Without hesitation, she quietly entered the kitchen, made a cup of coffee for Han Qingshan, and went next to him.

"Drink some coffee," she said, her voice soft as she felt pity towards Han Qingshan who had so much work that he did not even get a proper night's sleep.

Han Qingshan jolted when he heard Jiang Yingyue's voice, and his hands trembled slightly.

"Thank you," he said, his voice emotionless, and he did not look at her, making Jiang Yingyue feel slightly uncomfortable.

"I will make some congee," she said. "It seems you have worked all night, but I doubt you have eaten anything yet, so you should have something to fill your stomach, but it has to be quite gentle, or your system can't handle it."

Han Qingshan nodded his head as he continued to look at the documents on his laptop, his attention was seemingly all on the papers, but only Han Qingshan himself knew that he was sensing every small change in Jiang Yingyue.

Feeling slightly dejected, Jiang Yingyue cooked breakfast, but Han Qingshan did not look at her even once. All day, Han Qingshan continued to look away from her, he treated her well, and gave her simple tasks at the office.

But although she had been given certain tasks, he was spending most of the time ignoring her, neither of them spoke much. Whenever Jiang Yingyue tried speaking with him, he would answer in one word, or with just a sound.

Being unaware of what she had done wrong, Jiang Yingyue was saddened, but she quickly accepted that Han Qingshan was likely tired of her. She was, after all, a commoner, and he was a noble. It was natural that he would grow tired of her.

Thinking like this, she sighed and felt at a loss, but she was willing to end it all if that was what would make Han Qingshan happy again.

"Han Qingshan," she called out, after gathering her courage, feeling like a knife was slicing her heart. "Yes?" Han Qingshan asked, without raising his head from the papers.

"I was thinking, I am getting much better, and the stitches will be removed soon," she said hesitatingly. "I wonder if it is time for me to return home, I can't continue to trouble you."

The more she spoke, the lower her voice became. She looked down and fidgeted with her hands, her eyes were burning slightly, and she was feeling very uncomfortable, waiting for Han Qingshan to agree with her.
