By the way, have you guys made a guild?

My friends and I wanted to make one, but putting the lot aside, even the ‘Guild Establishment Permit’ is too damn expensive…!

108. A Passing Adventurer

>>107

Yeah~, about 30 million gold, wasn’t it?

The winners of the last battle event sure had it good~. They all got one for free with no strings attached, right?

109. A Passing Adventurer

>>108

Yup, and that’s why it’s best to join the guilds they created for now.

You get in, participate in events and stuff, get stronger, then once you’ve saved up enough money, you quit and create your own guild.

130. A Passing Adventurer

>>109

The winners were baldhead, Zansword, Yario, Crutteruo, and Yuri.

Among them, I heard the baldhead, Zansword, Yario, and Crutteruo already have created a guild.

151. A Passing Adventurer

>>130

Baldhead: Muscly-Musou short and decisive combat type.

Zansword: High-speed combat type.

Yario: All-rounder type.

Crutteruo: Phantasmagoric surprise attack type.

Yuri: Long-range attack type (but apparently loves fighting with bare hands).

Their combat styles are pretty distinct from each other. With such varying choices, I think each player can find a guild that suits them the most. What do you guys think?

Ahh, I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of guild Yuri will create~.

173. A Passing Adventurer

Hey guys, a new video has been uploaded on Seele’s ‘PK Channel’!

This time… what the hell LOL She’s breaking out of prison with Yuri LOLOLOLOL

176. A Passing Adventurer

>>173

Buwahahahahah I’m watching it, but the heck, they’re rampaging by taking advantage of the holes in the system LOLOLOL

Breaking out of prison alongside hundreds of summoner NPCs, this gotta be a different game, ain’t it? LOL

179. A Passing Adventurer

>>176

Wait, whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?! The Summoners summoned super strong-looking monsters, and they’re sending the guards flying everywhere…!

This is practically the great invasion of the Demon King! What’s Yuri doing seriously LOLOLOLOL

180. A Passing Adventurer

>>173

From their conversation, it seems she’s trying to take over the city to make it a base for her guild.

That reminds me, there’s no limit to the size of the lot… W-wait, but it’s impossible to take over the city, isn’t it?

240. A Passing Adventurer

>>173

Oh, after Yuri entered the Pope’s castle, who seems to be the city’s boss, the doors closed.

Wait, the castle is starting to buuuuuuuuuuuuurn LOL Yuri should’ve been inside, but now she’s bombing the castle from the sky LOLOLOL

Just what’s going on, it’s too funny LOLOLOL

294. A Passing Adventurer

>>173

Hold on, the Pope died while screaming like a madman LOLOLOLOLOL

But wait, seriously, what’s gonna happen now?! Huh?!

…Demon King Yuri… she’s got full authority over the cityyyyyyyyyyyy LOLOLOLOLOLOL

310. A Passing Adventurer

Eeeehhhhhhh… but in the next battle event, you win by destroying the guild base instead of killing each other, right?

Can a city be destroyed?

Essentially, Yuri’s guild house has thousands of times of HP compared to ordinary guild houses… how are we even supposed to defeat her?!

315. A Passing Adventurer

>>310

Those hundreds of Summoners and monsters seem to be pretty obedient to her, too. They’re practically her soldiers already.

Or rather, is this even allowed? Everyone else is working hard scrounging up money to buy a lot and establish a guild, but all she had to do was to rampage and she got a city; isn’t this unfair?

I mean, it seems that the AI was the one who made the decision to give her the city, not the devs.

350. A Passing Adventurer

>>315

But why wouldn’t it?

If it didn’t, doesn’t it mean that the devs are nothing but incompetent fools?

388. A Passing Adventurer

>>350

Oh, I got what you mean. In the last update, they nerfed Yuri so much that I be like, “Isn’t this overboard?” but in the end, Yuri can fight again and she’s even made a great comeback.

Looking back, they must have done that because they predicted this would happen.

400. A Passing Adventurer

>>388

I was so angry at the devs for not giving any apology after that unreasonable update…

But their silence might be their way to say, “There’s no need for us to apologize. If you use your skills properly, you can still fight!” That must be it!

412. A Passing Adventurer

>>400

The fact that a player can own a city doesn’t mean the setting is too loose, it just means the game provides that much freedom!

Uwoo, I want to rule a city too! Since Yuri has taken away all the land rights, the profit from the shops will be hers, which in turn means Yuri will be swimming in money!

I bet she’s converting tons of gold into real money right about now! But can the devs pay it off?

413. A Passing Adventurer

>>412

Idiot, if they can’t, they wouldn’t have given the city to a player LOLOLOL

Even if it was decided by the AI, the AI was created by the devs, so the AI’s decision is the devs’ official decision.

If it turned out that they couldn’t pay up after advertising that players could get real money by playing the game, it would be a serious crime LOL.

415. A Passing Adventurer

>>413

And they would be finished LOLOLOL

Well, they’re geniuses from a famous university, so there’s no way they’d do something so stupid!

Okay, I’m going to devise a scheme to get myself a big piece of land like Yuri!

◆◆◇◆

“—H-how did things end up like thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis?!”

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! We’re done foooooooooooooooooooooor?!”

“The Pope was scheduled to play a reallyimportant role in upcoming events and story quests, but he’s now deaaad! And Yuri has taken over the cityyyyyyyyyyy?!”

The screams of the developer team echoed throughout the office in the morning.

After they’d barely made it in time to the office, they’d found everything had become a mess…!

Pope Gregorion whom they should have given absolute protection had died, and the entire city of Helheim had become Yuri’s property.

When they’d watched the in-game footage, they’d seen Yuri repeatedly poking at the numerous holes in the system.

Furthermore, the bug-fixing AI ‘Pendragon’, whom they had entrusted to deal with things when they were not around, had deemed all of it acceptable. Yes, Yuri didn’t use a cheat, nor did he take advantage of the bugs; it was more apt to say that ‘she was just doing what she was allowed to do’, so it was understandable why the AI deemed so, but still, the consequences were terrible.

“E-emergency rollback! Let’s return all in-game data to the state it was at yesterday’s midnight!”

“Are you actually an idiot? The data isn’t corrupted or anything of the sort, if we do that, we’ll be heavily criticized! It may have been the AI’s decision, but if we voided the benefit a player had gained from it, we’d be reproved by the Consumer Affairs Agency?!”

“Shit, shit! Seele, Yuri’s underling, uploaded the video at midnight again! We can’t secretly take back the city, either…!” The developer team screamed. Up until now, whenever a problem came up, they would always blame each other saying, “It’s your fault,” “It’s his fault,” and so on but they could no longer afford to do that.

They hurried to their seats and decided to quickly fix the holes in the system that Yuri had discovered.

“Originally, we could barely stay afloat. With a capital of several hundred thousand yen, we started developing this game believing that with our technological prowess we’d make it profitable. Now that the number of players and in-game money purchases has increased, we have to make the game last for as long as possible! We’ll finish the emergency maintenance in 30 minutes!”

“Okay, I’m gonna adjust the teleport right in prison so that it activates immediately! And I’ll make it impossible to exchange event points in prison while I’m at it!”

“I’ll revise the protection of important NPCs so they don’t take terrain damage! I’ll also fix all the events where Pope Gregorion’s name appears and… ahhh, this won’t finish in 30 minutes!”

“I’ll help, so less complaining and more working!”

Today, on a very rare occasion, the developer team was seriously working, sitting in front of their PCs without causing any quarrels or slacking off.

Personality-wise, they were a bunch of socially inept good-for-nothings, but when it came to their intellects, ‘genius’ was the only word to describe them. “I’m tired of job hunting and I don’t want to be bossed around~,” for such a reason, they started up a company with a capital of several hundred thousand yen. The fact that they had managed to develop a VRMMO with perfect graphics and full sensory experience—well, setting aside the fact that the little details were a mess—was proof that their skills weren’t just for show.

Being cornered by Yuri forced them to put their brains to full use, and they improved the quality of their game in the blink of an eye.

But at that time…

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh?! It says ‘Yuri wants to exchange 10 billion gold into 10 million yen using the real money trading system’…!”

“Ngyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?! T-that devilish beautiful girl, the nerve of her immediately cashing in the money of the city she’s just stolen?!”

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh, and right when we’re just starting to make some money, toooooooo?!”

“Shit, shit, damn you Demon King Yuri! Since you’re playing this way, don’t blame us for making money out of youuuuuuuuu?!”

The developer team screamed out their resentment and despair, in tears and with runny noses.

Thus, they were taught about the harshness of society, and at the same time, ended up getting robbed of a large amount of money by Yuri…!
