Chapter 946: 13. The Light of the Lighthouse

Chapter 946 Thirteen. The Light of the Lighthouse

  Professor Hagrid offers his office.

Worried about an accident, they didn't even let Lu Li leave the canopy, and several professors ran to the lower level to find the controller of the weird title.

The gatekeeper guards the occult office, blocking curious students and possible weirdness.

   knock knock --

The old professor who was closest to the door opened the door, and the professor of botany who came back first said, "I have found it."

While waiting for the master of the weird title, Professor Hagrid opened the bookcase, took out a purse from the lower level, and staggered towards the middle of the office.

Light overflowed from Professor Hagrid's fingers. He continued to shake the purse, until the radiance of the afternoon sun stopped and hung on the hemp rope hanging in the middle of the office.

"Hagrid, you should put the sun bag on the window." The old professor suggested. "It's such a waste."

"How to do it?"

Professor Hagrid stopped and handed the sunbag to the old professor.

The old professor wiped his hands on his wool sweater, picked up the sun bag, walked to the window, hung it on the window, and pulled up the curtain to cover it.

The curtains are lit up, and the light yellow light penetrates into the room from the edge, as if the warm sunlight slanting into the room in the afternoon.

The old professor said with emotion: "It's much better, it reminds me of the first cup of afternoon tea in a seaside town vacation in the old days."

"Mr. Lu Li's territory has sunshine, maybe you can settle there after you retire." Professor Hagrid replied with a smile.

The old professor paused, with some longing and longing on his aging face.

"No one is forbidden to set foot there." Lu Li said.

"Thank you for your kindness." The old professor stroked his chest and saluted.

Soon the unnamed lady and the gangster Mai Wen also returned to the office. Reckless Mai Wen paused slightly when he came in, then nodded to the old professor, leaned against the wall and closed his eyes, half of his face bathed in "sunshine".

Da da da--

They heard the sound of heels hitting the floor from the hallway.

The office door creaked open, and the owner of the footsteps bent down and got into the room.

"Professor Chris, why are you here..." Professor Hagrid, who was preparing tea, was stunned.

"I heard about your findings." Professor Chris looked around the office.

"The news is spreading too fast..." Professor Hagrid frowned.

"Don't worry, not many people will know about it." Professor Chris's eyes fell on Lu Li, and her long and narrow eyes became curved. "Darling, you always surprise me."

"Giant Tree Academy doesn't know human nature either," Lu Li said.

He still remembers the first time in the old sewer swamp branch, the eldest sister recognized human nature and called it "fuel", which means that the weirdness has long known that human nature exists - at least part of the weirdness.

Professor Chris sat on the sofa, barely the same height as everyone standing, no longer feeling oppressive: "In fact, we know something, from the weirdness."

   There are only a few.

"Fuel," as the freaks call it. This is the source of their power. Freaks have "fuel" too, but humans have more and are better to deal with.

It is not like the soul can be touched, can be seen. No weight, no shape. One cannot observe it, one cannot measure it.

"It's like we can only see three primary colors, and many weirdos can see more. We can only know the existence of other colors...but never know what they look like."

A certain perception is not equivalent.

Weirdness is not equivalent to the Giant Tree Academy, which represents human civilization, and Lu Li is also not equivalent to the Giant Tree Academy.

So they never associate "fuel" with what the cursed title consumes.

"I'll record what I know later."

Aware of cognitive asymmetry, said Lu Li.

"I knew I was right about you, dear." Professor Chris blew a kiss to Lu Li.

"Ahem..." The old professor said with a smile as if he was treating a younger generation: "Do we need to avoid it for a while?"

After a few minutes of conversation, the master of the cursed title finally arrived.

is different from the impression of the cursed title master symbol. The master was emaciated and numb, with no visible muscle or fat, skin against the skeleton, and the smell of an obscure, rancid dying man.

His arrival almost washed away the warm atmosphere brought by the "sunshine" behind the curtains.

"Kane..." Professor Chris called out his name sympathetically.

The master of   The Walking Dead seemed to be awakened by a whimper, his eyes rolled slightly, and he stared at Lu Li: "It's you...Did you call me here because of a stupid idea..."

"Please respect Your Excellency Lu Li." Professor Hagrid reminded with a frown.

"If your life comes to an end, you won't respect anyone..." The controller rolled his eyes and stared at Lu Li, and said with the only reason left: "But if someone can save your life at this time, even if you become a servant and slave, you will would like to."

"Stretch out your hand." Lu Li said.

The    controller stretched out his skinny, skeleton-like palm, letting Lu Li touch it with his right hand.

Those numb, stiff, bloodshot eyes suddenly opened, and Kane felt some vital vitality that he had lacked for a long time flowing into his dry and dry body.

A wonderful groan emerged from the dry throat and turned into a hoarse growl that seemed to be in pain. Feeling that the vitality of the infusion began to weaken, Kane begged without dignity: "Please give me more... please..."

Lu Li, who was about to close his hand, paused briefly, continued to convey humanity, and then stopped after a short two or three seconds.

He must retain more than half of his humanity to deal with the crisis, at least so that he cannot become Kane's terrible appearance.

   "More...more...more!"

Kane cracked open his mouth and grabbed Lu Li frantically.

Before Lu Li stretched out his left hand, a suet-like hand with a long lace glove grabbed Kane's arm.

Professor Chris appeared beside him at some point, and his long and narrow eyes were glistening like a golden solution: "Do you know what you are doing?"

The madness in Kane's eyes faded a little bit, and he seemed to show some kind of fear and lowered his head.

"I'm sorry……"

"So does it work?" Lu Li calmly retracted the palm that pinched the marks.

Professor Hagrid drove Kane away from Lu Li with a cold face.

"Yes... yes... this is what is indispensable..." Kane murmured in a dreamy whisper, stumbled back, and suddenly regained consciousness: "This is what I consume, is it called human nature?"

"It's also fuel." Lu Li said.

"Fuel..." Kane chewed the word like he was chewing weird meat: "Of course I know...so human nature is fuel?"

"Um."

"It's a pity that the price is too high... and it can't be repeated." Mai Wen, the reckless man who was ready to help, leaned back against the wall.

"Mr. Lu Li can..." The old professor shut up in time.

And Lu Li didn't hide it: "I can plunder the weird humanity that I killed with my own hands."

"The stronger the better?" It was Professor Chris who asked.

After being confirmed by Lu Li, she walked out the door.

   "Wait for me dear."
