Bizarre Detective Agency

Chapter 55: Fifty-five. The dead are resurrected

  Chapter 55

Lu Li tilted his head and saw the carriage of the newspaper pass by him.

The    continuous drizzle was a serious mismatch with the dense clouds and lightning overhead. The oil lamp was covered with a layer of water stains, and the light became hazy.

Lu Li reached into his arms and took out the umbrella, and opened it with a bang to cover the drizzle.

A corner of the curtain was lifted, Anna hugged her knees, sat quietly on the edge of the carriage behind Lu Li, and stretched her neck curiously.

Lu Li took out the patient information and opened it.

Dust slid down from the gaps between the papers. Seeing this, Lu Li simply stretched out his hand and scattered it, to shake off a piece of dust that had fallen behind the carriage.

Retrieving the patient information, Lu Li looked at it with one eye and ten lines.

Lu Li's quick reading aroused doubts.

"You watched so fast... Can you remember this?" Anna said suspiciously.

"I just need to find Edward's name." Lu Li said without looking up.

The dirt road is a little bumpy, and the fonts on the paper are small, otherwise Lu Li would be able to see faster.

When    Watching Town appeared in the field of vision, Lu Li successfully found the key person who was entrusted: Edward's information.

Edward Ben, a Belfast native, was admitted to the Sixth Asylum after being diagnosed with a delusional disorder. He subsequently attacked paramedics and attempted to escape from the hospital as his condition worsened. The owner of the cow was killed. There was no follow-up because of the change of family address.

Until his cousin remembered that he had an older brother in a lunatic asylum and contacted the detective to investigate.

Lu Li tore off the page with Edward's message from the entire document, folded it up and put it in his pocket.

The patient information was thrown back into the compartment by him.

There may be times when it will be useful, and even if not, it is good to use it for fire.

After doing this, Lu Li tilted his head slightly and looked at Anna, who was staring at him with clear eyes without blinking: "Is there any problem?"

"Quickly tell me what happened before you went in and what happened to the injury on the back of your head." Anna, who had suppressed her curiosity for a long time, said impatiently.

   Curiosity killed Anna.

"I was knocked out." Lu Li replied.

Anna was stunned in the back seat: "Huh? You can actually be knocked out."

"Well. I thought it was a supernatural event, but I didn't expect it to be a living person." Lu Li briefly described the situation he encountered after going alone.

"Pfft, this is a mental hospital, you can guess that there is a mental illness hiding here?" Anna rarely stood on the commanding heights of intelligence and despised Lu Li.

Lu Li did not refute, but admitted his shortcomings: "The problem really lies with me, I'm not used to distinguishing between the world of ordinary people and the world of exorcists."

His thinking is getting a little paranoid.

Maybe because he has been dealing with ghosts recently, Lu Li subconsciously blamed ghosts for strange phenomena, not man-made.

If it is Lu Li who has never been in contact with ghosts and exorcists, I am afraid that this kind of incident will be characterized by Lu Li as a man-made haunt at the beginning, and at the same time, it is infinitely close to the truth: a lunatic is plotting something in an abandoned lunatic asylum.

In general, dealing with supernatural events this time exposed a big shortcoming of Lu Li.

But fortunately, he still has a chance to correct.

"I think I heard the policeman say we are in danger, is that true?" Anna asked.

Lu Li nodded: "The unknown is more terrifying than what is on the bright side."

The most terrifying time of the enemy is not when it is strong, but when it hides in the dark.

But fortunately, Anna is there to watch the house in the detective agency. Although she looks like a mascot that can only be used as a display - but enough to scare some people.

Of course, the above content should not be known to Anna, at least not in the second half.

"Um...is Athena's husband in the patient profile?" Anna still remembered the poor woman and child in the gallery.

"No. Her husband is not mentally ill and has never been a patient."

Lu Li replied, thinking slightly about the previous conversation with the police officer named Vincent.

  …

"Go back quickly, it will be troublesome if it rains heavily." Officer Vincent squinted his eyes at the sky, and withdrew his eyes: "We will keep in touch with you at any time in the future, and I hope you can beware of the murderer."

"I will." Lu Li nodded, took off the blanket draped over his body and put it at the back of the car. "By the way, I want to ask, are there many people missing here recently?"

"Yes." Officer Vincent nodded and asked the little police officer who made the record to help elsewhere. He stayed and explained: "Recently, there have been more than a dozen cases of disappearance here. We are comparing the bodies, and there is no accident. The murderer It is probably that Richard. If it weren't for your help, more residents of Watching Town and travelers nearby might have been killed. Thank you for your help to Watching Town Police Station."

   "I should."

  …

In   Athena's narration, Bill Eddy was also one of the missing. The only difference is that he returned home a few days later.

Lightly tapped the wooden board under him with his fingers, and Lu Li gathered the clues that he had collected so far, and sorted them according to his imagination.

[Missing people around the madhouse] [Capturing living people for experiment] [The content of the experiment is to use the human body as a container] [Bill Eddy disappears] [Bill Eddy returns in a few days] [Bill Eddy kills Assi shortly after his return Na] [Bill Eddie disappeared again] [Bill Eddie disappeared in the vicinity of the lunatic asylum]

Lu Li realized that he was close to the truth.

After Bill Eddie returned from the first disappearance...is the husband Athena saw really her husband?

Is there another soul hidden under that skin?

The overall clue has been smoothed out, but there are still some questions that have not been resolved. Like why did Bill Eddie say Athena killed her when he attacked Athena?

Fortunately, Lu Li doesn't need to rush to find out the truth.

"What did you think of?" Anna asked, tilting her head.

"Um."

Lu Li told Anna the terrifying truth he had pieced together.

"A guy who tried to revive the dead...and seems to have succeeded."

  …

   Hospital, basement floor.

In the operating room, several figures surrounded the crack in the corner, and the raised oil lamp torch shone on a figure lying on the ground.

A policeman was lying on the corner of the wall, with his hands out deep into the hole, and struggling to drag something out.

During the search, the police easily found this prominent hole in the operating room of the key location. After searching elsewhere, police officers got together and tried to probe.

They saw something in the deepest part of the hole.

The policeman with the longest arm was photographed to reach it. The thin clothes rubbed the edges and corners of the stone. In a groan, he grabbed the deepest thing in the hole and dragged it out little by little, revealing it in front of everyone.

Officer Vincent's pupils suddenly shrank into needles.

"This... the fuck... what the hell...?"
