553 Whispers of Eleven

The person in front of Lisa wasn't who she thought it was. He had said it himself with that smile on his face. The stars all swirled around him like he was the center of it all. Lisa's body convulesed as she fell to the ground. Eleven watched as she twitched. It was the first time he didn't have to do anything to see someone suffer so much.

"He-help me…" Lisa weakly called out to Eleven. She slowly lifted her arm up and tried to reach for Lee Seng, but Eleven just stood there.

"Not until you give up the facade." Eleven lifted his chin and nodded at her. "You aren't fooling anyone."

'W-what's he talking about?' Lisa grunted.

"Ah!" She lurched forward as a large bony hand flew straight for Eleven. Eleven dodged out of the way, only to be grabbed by the hand.

"You bastard!" David shouted, pushing Eleven away from Lisa. Lisa's body flew backwards, arching as the green energy webbed itself through out her body. David jumped backwards, his enlarged bony hands shrinking into swords. "What did you do to her?!?"

Eleven chuckled as he brushed the dirt off of him.

"What did I do?" Eleven asked. "You clearly know what I did and didn't do. She sucked that radioactive bitch, herself? If you wanna blame someone, blame her." He pointed at the struggling Lisa. Green liquid began to pour out of the orifices on her face as she cried.

"L-Lisa!" David turned. He gritted his teeth as he fought between two feelings. One wanted to help her while the other one wanted to hurt Lee Seng. "Save her!" He turned and pointed his blade at him.

"Save her?" Eleven repeated. "What makes you think I can do it?"

"You can heal people! Don't act like we all didn't see it! Use your light to save her!" David demanded.

"Ahh!" Lisa screamed.

"D-do it before she actually dies!" David's shouts became more panicked and desperate. Eleven folded his arms together and tapped his finger on his arm.

"Should I?" Eleven asked, pacing. "If I remember correctly, you told Lee Seng 'don't ever do that again or else I'll kill you.' Should I just ignore that because she's actually hurt? What's the point if she's going to just respawn, again?" David's face turned beet red as Lisa's screams continued to keep a strong hold on him.

"Save her!" David pleaded. His eyes began to water as Eleven stopped pacing. "Please! I… I take back everything I said! Just save her!"

"Mmmm…" Eleven thought aloud. "No can do, Skeleton."

"What?!?" David rushed at Eleven. Eleven smiled. The galaxy swirling around him lashed out, chaining David as his anger fueled him to fight. "YOU FUCKER! YOU'RE USELESS!"

"Useless? I'm doing you a service, my dear Skeleton." Eleven told him.

"A service!?! Fuck you! You're doing nothing! You're useless! You're—"

A pressure squeezed on David's neck. David gasped for air as Eleven watched the Skeleton man drop to his knees. Eleven sighed and shook his head.

"I always wondered why he never tapped into your mind." Eleven lowered himself, taking a good long look at David. "Y'know he can tap into your mind, right? Figure out the reason why you're so bipolar…? What I want to know is why he lets you throw your tantrums? Why he allows you to do whatever you want and complies to you and her… Y'see, it doesn't make sense. Why are you the way you are?"

Eleven raised his finger up and pointed at David's forehead.

"All of his answers are up there." Eleven whispered. A bolt of cosmic energy flew straight through David's head. David's eyes bugged out as Eleven's hold on David died. David fell onto the floor as Lisa followed suit.

"Da….vid…" Lisa reached out for him. The blurry image of Eleven burned in her mind as he stood up. "Why… did you… do that…?"

"Forbidden lovers. Two murderers bound to walk endlessly in Limbo for all time. His greed constantly gets you two into trouble and you act like it's nothing." Eleven spoke. Lisa's eyes widened.

"H-h-how…?"

"A horrible twist on Shakespeare's story… Romeo and Juliet: Killer Edition… An odd ring to it." Eleven tapped his chin. "Romeo got too greedy and went for it all and got his Juliet killed… He ended up dying and instead of going to burn in hell, he made a bet on your souls and lost it. Now you'll spend an eternity collecting souls as your punishment, never really getting control of your Sin because… As long as he's alive, you'll have nothing."

Eleven turned away, looking around as Lisa and David turned to dust.

"You know it yet you don't want to accept it…" Eleven sighed as his watch beeped. He looked at it and snickered. "What're you going to do? Force me asleep? I think it's time I spread my wings and cause some mayhem."

Pea'ir, Daros

Many weeks after Lee Seng and Keng's meet

The Five tailed Fox rushed through the coral forest. Heavy breaths escaped his lips as Hydrosphere glowed brightly, lighting the darkened sea path. Keng's eyes kept on looking back at the quick swimmers weaving through the corals.

'They give me literally nothing to go off of and force us to split up and look for clues!' Keng panicked. He jumped over a coral root, floating in the sea for a moment before landing and continuing to run. 'Rell gave us a crash course in underwater traversal but this isn't fun when you have to run away from LITERALLY EVERYTHING!'

A deep guttural screech echoed through the waters as Keng looked behind, again. The sea creatures coming after him were Merfolk-like, but had tentacles instead of a fish tail. He had been warned by the Merfolk Leader, Zax, to stay far away from the tentacle Merfolk. They were feral and would attack anything they saw in their territory.

The feral Merfolk or Feral, for short, shot through the waters quickly. The distance between Keng and the Feral was closing and Keng was starting to think he had made the wrong choice in running into them "on purpose."

"GRAAA!" A Feral shrieked. Its bony and coral-like spear flew through the waters, aimed straight for Keng.

"Displacement 1!" Keng shrieked. His body fizzled out as the spear flew past. Keng zapped into existence in the coral forest. He let out a sigh as bubbles escaped his mouth. "I'm so lucky Displacement can go that far."

[Displacement - Level 4: Allows the user to mark 3* areas and appear back at that spot at will. Once a displacement is used, it uses the charge and fuels the user's next attack. Displacement can be used up to a mile away.]

"If I tried to fight those guys, I think they would've had field advantage…" Keng quietly spoke to himself. He popped out of the coral forest into the area he had seen the Ferals. They were guarding something interesting and he had just so happened to trigger about every trap he thought he couldn't trigger. The area was littered in holes and broken rope-like nets.

Keng's eyes glowed, fixated on the cave. His Energy Eye Sense was telling him something was in there, coupled with that fact something was singing to him. He had thought it was a siren, but was - thankfully - snuffed of any "siren" theories when he saw Ferals.

"Ferals will always stay together." Merfolk Leader Zax's voice echoed in his head. "Remember this when you venture out. You'll both lead a party in separate directions and help us find the cup before its too late."

"That's why we're here?" Keng asked.

"The cup is an answer to part of the problem, young Keng. If you get the cup, we can stop our people from turning on each other."

When Keng and Lily were taken to the Merfolk Village, the surrounding coral forests and deep trenches were enough to make Keng excited. Soon, his excitement turned to sadness. Many of the Merfolk were suffering from some strange affliction and Merfolk Leader Zax needed him and Lily to find the Cup of Aster.

"What does the cup do, exactly?" Lily asked.

"It's a cup made from one of the most legendary Merfolks to follow the goddess. She was given a dream to forge a cup and when she did, it filled with a strange liquid. That strange liquid will be one of the ingredients we need to save my people from dying to this strange affliction." Zax explained.

"So that's why you came above land." Keng replied.

"You knew? How? I thought your perception wasn't that great."

"Oh, I didn't see nor hear you. My brother, Zixin, did. He told me your people were looking for me, but were shooed away by the Elder. Was it that bad you came to look for me?"

"Elder Jyu'so told me you weren't ready for such a task. The pressure of the waters would kill you before you began to even take a step." Zax sighed. "Enough about that. Do you understand your mission?" The memory faded as Keng let out a sigh.

"I got split from the group I was with and now I'm going into a Feral cave to see what's in there… Can this get any worst?" Keng whispered.
