After a few minutes of convincing Dylan that i got lost while looking for the equipment closest, he bought it and i didn't have to go on about me seeing Lola. I texted dad to pick me up from the fundraiser. He was a few hours late, i didn't mind. I needed time to think about everything. I needed time to think about Lola. In the middle of my thoughts dad pulls up alongside the curve i sat at for what seemed like forever.

''Sorry i'm late, it was traffic on the freeway.'' dad says, not making eye contact with me.

''It's no big deal'' i say. Which was the truth.

''How was it? i heard good things about all of his fundraisers. Most feel good to have apart in it all.''

''Dad?'' I say.

''Yeah bud?''

''Do you think that if you care about someone, it could even be someone you haven't known that long. Do you think you should fight for that person'' I say while looking out the window hoping for sincere advice.

''Well...If it was me. I would. But then again everyone's different.''

''Yes or no'' i say, trying to get to the point.

''Yes. Yes i would.''

Do i even have what it takes to let her know how i feel about her, i think to myself.
