Be The Secret Admirer

Near the bridge.

The two of them sat under the bridge and the little boy starts to chit-chat with the little Shi Yan. He glances at her with a face full of excitement and questions.

"Hey, what are you doing here? How did you find this place? Not many kids that would know this place..."

He continues his talk. Afterward, he smiled and clenched his teeth while look at Shi Yan. He points at himself with his index finger. "Plus, this is my secret hideout! I'm the first one that found this place! I'm an amazing person, isn't it? Haha!"

Shi Yan, who's still a kid at that time was stunned when saw a smile of the little guy in front of her. His smile looks so adorable with his unique eyes. He looks like a naughty guy but looks naive with that kind of face. So cute!

The little Shi Yan smiles at him and answers instantly.

"I don't know this place either! I just happened to come out from that old building over there and saw the beautiful flowers and the big tree near here." Shi Yan points at the abandoned building. She continues her talk while looking at him. "And then I see you were sleeping on the grass under this bridge."

The little guy's widening his eyes as he looks at Shi Yan. He quickly denies it.

"I'm not sleeping! I'm just lying down on the grass and enjoying the beauty of nature!"

Shi Yan chuckles and she tries to cover her mouth with her left hand. "Enjoying nature, huh? What a good reason. I saw it with my own eyes that you really dozed. And I listen that you snore on there peacefully! Don't you try to lie to me!"

He just scratches his head while replying. "Fine! Fine! You're right. I'm really sleeping before. Are you satisfied?"

Shi Yan smiling and looking at him with a closed eye. Next, she opened her eyes and answers his reply. "Yep! Hehehe, next time don't try to fool me!"

The little boy stands up and wipes his back. He starts to collect the small rocks near the river, then he throws inside the river. He looks at Shi Yan and calls her. "Hey, come over here!"

"Okay!"

Shi Yan quickly stands up and runs towards him.

After she arrived beside him, the little guy gives the small rock on his hand to her. "I want to ask one more question."

After that, Shi Yan takes the small rocks on his hand and starts to throws inside the river. "Hmm? What is it?"

"What are you doing in that abandoned building? Why are you there? Isn't the building dangerous? I heard that the building was haunted." He looks at Shi Yan and asks the question accordingly.

Shi Yan stopped throws the rocks and stare at the little guy's face.

After that, she looks at the river and continues to throw the small rocks. She just silent while looking at the lotus flowers in the river. Her cheerful face turned gloomy.

Seeing the girl next to him not answering the questions and still remained silent, the little guy began to feel guilty in his heart. He tries to talk to her.

"Well, I'm sorry if I ask too many. I didn't mean to hurt your heart. If you don't want to tell me, it's okay. Maybe you have something important that bothers you now and you can't tell about it."

Feeling the sincerity from the little guy's speech, the little Shi Yan quickly looks at him and replies shortly. "No, no, no! I'm okay. I'm just having problems just like other kids!"

The little boy's staring at Shi Yan. "I want to ask this question before but I didn't dare to." He resumes his talking and looking at Shi Yan's face with curiosity. "Why did your face looks like that? Why did your hair look like has been cropped up by something? Why did your clothes have so much dust?"

The little Shi Yan's just sighing helplessly.

"Sigh..."

Shi Yan just looks at him helplessly and she's talking in a very slow voice.

"I guess I can tell you since you're really a nice person. But you have to promise me to not tell anyone about this matter."

He just nods immediately. "Okay! You can count on me! I'll not tell anyone about you and your stories. I'm an honest and kind boy that will never break a promise!"

She looks at the little guy beside her that has a very good personality. She chuckled and starts to smile at him. Shi Yan gives her right fingertip to him.

"Pinky promise?"

The little guy just gave an innocent face and frowned.

"What's a pinky promise?"

Shi Yan burst into a laugh as she looks at him. "You don't know pinky promise?" She raises her eyebrows while asked him.

He stunned and ask with a curious face.

"Hmm...I don't know what it means. If I do know, I wouldn't ask you. By the way, what does it mean?"

"Pinky promise means that you made a promise with someone when you're still a kid, you will have to remember the promise until you become an ȧduŀt or you will meet again. Just like a childhood promise." She gave a very long explanation then smile at him.

The little boy nods and gives his right fingertip to her. He clenched his teeth and replied with a smiling face. "I see! Then, this will be a promise!"

The two of their fingertip clutched at each other as they smiling. In their hearts, they felt so happy that can't be described. The cloud that has been dark before becomes sunny, just like the cloud could understand their feelings. The sun appears suddenly behind the cloud, it could give people the feeling of happiness for anyone after they watching it.
