Army of True Salvation

Chapter 100:Oh, You Two...

"Who will get this room," Dannie asked and Shannara suddenly spoke.

"Where will you sleep?"

"I'll be with my father. Probably, we will sleep in his office. There are two rooms left, so automatically, you guys have to decide," Dannie answered and everyone looked at each other.

"I will be sleeping with my family," Sheloah said and her mother nodded, approving on what she had said. "Obviously, the others would be in the other room. Is that okay," she added and everyone talked with each other for a while, then nodded, agreeing to what Sheloah had said, but Isobel had thought of something else.

"But it will only be me, Veon, Tyler, and Shannara in the room. Sheloah, join us instead! Think about it… you've never had a sleepover with friends," she suggested and Sheloah looked at her mom, as if she was asking for permission for a sleepover.

Sheloah's mother giggled a bit. "Okay, fine. Since you're all friends anyway, you're allowed to sleep with them," she said and Sheloah jumped with joy as she hugged her mother for allowing her to have a sleepover with her friends.

'How ironic it is that mom allowed me to have a sleepover during a zombie apocalypse compared to the times when there wasn't a zombie apocalypse.'

"Okay. That decides it then," Dannie said and everyone looked at her. "There's a bathroom for each room so you can now comfort yourselves and have a bath at long last," she added and rolled her eyes when she said about the bath and it made the others laugh. "We may not have used the house for almost 2 years, but rest assured we still come here occasionally for the house's maintenance," she said finally and everyone nodded at her.

"Amazing. You guys still have electricity and a lot of water left," Veon added and Dannie looked at him.

"Yes, but still, we have to save it up. We're just using a generator for the electricity, after all. As for the water, there are no longer water deliveries so everyone should only use a small amount for hygiene's sake," Dannie said and everyone nodded at her.

"Okay. I'll be going then to check on the others," Dannie said and started walking. She suddenly stopped in her tracks and looked back when she remembered something. "Sheloah, may I speak with you after dinner?"

This surprised Sheloah a bit. Why would Dannie want to talk with her?

"Uh… sure, why not," Sheloah answered and Dannie smiled at her in gratitude.

"Thank you. We will turn off the generator in two hours to save up its usage for the electricity so it'd be best for you guys to do what you can now," Dannie said finally then walked off, tending to the other group's needs.

Sheloah's family entered the room and the teenagers left behind did so as well.

"Ah, Sheloah!" Shannara got Sheloah's attention when she suddenly called her name. "After talking with Dannie, may I speak with you next?"

Sheloah raised her brow at her. Why is everyone asking for her permission to speak with her?

"Sure."

The moment Sheloah answered, Isobel came out of the bathroom and had called for Shannara for her turn. Shannara walked briskly towards the bathroom, closed the door, and began having her bath.

Veon sat beside Sheloah and noticed that she was quite out of it.

"Any problem," he asked and Isobel looked at the two, teasing them.

"Oh, you two," she said teasingly and Sheloah and Veon looked at her. "I hope that when I wake up in the middle of the night, the two of you wouldn't be cuddling with each other," she added and Sheloah suddenly coughed and Veon's face reddened when they heard what Isobel had said.

"Stop spouting nonsense," Veon said and Isobel just laughed at him.

"Whatever!"
