AN UNKNOWN PHONE CALL...

Lara's P.O.V

I gradually opened my eyes. John was still sleeping. I could feel his chest heaving gradually. I didn't want to disturb him. So, I just kept my eyes open. I don't know for how long, I stayed awake. Until, I felt him move a bit. "John, wake up." I said, trying to unwrap his arms around my waist.

"Umm...yeah." John said, letting go of me. Suddenly, I felt cold, empty. I wish, I always wake up in his arms. I got up from the bed and checked the time. It was 3:55 pm. We had more 5 minutes for the head inspector to come at our place. John and I went downstairs and saw everyone sitting across the couch. They were all tensed.

"You alright?" I asked, looking at everyone. They all shrugged their shoulders. The door bell rang. And, their comes the police inspector. We all were in extreme tension. We welcomed the inspector inside the farm house.

"Jim with the force went to search for David and some evidence. They didn't find David, but, we traced his number. It's far away from the city. We need to go now. We have no time. We have to plan the things. Now." The inspector said.

"Umm...we have thought of something." Leo said, folding his arms. We all gave him a nod. "What is it?" The inspector asked. "When we will get there...." Leo said, and we all gave eachother a nod. The plan was discussed, but, didn't know, if it will be successful.

The location was out of city. John was driving the car, as Leo sat beside him. The inspector was driving his own jeep and we were just following his jeep, behind. We started our journey at the morning and now it was afternoon. No one spoke a single word in the car.

Tomorrow is the last day of this shit. And, we will bring them behind the bars. It will be all over at once. We will live our lives, like before. Everything will be fine. 'But, what were those strange things that happened to me in my cottage?', I thought to myself. This is surely has something to do with Albert. My gut feeling is strong about it. "Everything will be fine." Mia said, with a small voice. "Yeah." I said, with a small smile.

We reached the destination. The day turned into an afternoon and the afternoon turned into a night. The night was both horrible and mysterious. There were no trace of anyone. Not a single soul was present, except for us. We gulped audibly.

"Let's get parted." The police inspector said, while walking straight into the mist. We got parted and started searching for David and Albert. It was late at night. It was getting difficult for us to find them. We had to find them, ASAP.

After, a long time, I heard the voice. "Aaahhhhhh...." the voice sounded familiar. Oh my fucking lord!! It was of David. I ran towards that sound. I didn't know about others, if they also heard the voice or not.

But, I had to let them know. On the way, I texted them. After a while, the voice stopped. It has to be something. After a mile away, I saw an actual hut with the lights on. I gradually walked towards the hut and was also checking behind, simultaneously, if they were coming or not. I clutched my chest while walking towards the hut. It was scary. I didn't know, what was waiting for me inside.

'I just hope, I'll be able to manage it by my own.', I thought to myself. I knocked on the door, when reached near it. Nobody, opened it. I again knocked on it. Suddenly, I realized that, the lights were all off now. 'Damn..', I cursed under my breath. But, I had to do it.

I was about to knock again, when the door opened, gradually. I gulped audibly. I went inside. But, to only see dark. The moon light wasn't sufficient this time. It was scaring me to the core. 'I hope, they get here fast.', I thought to myself. Suddenly, I heard a soft moan, beside me. When I slightly turned my head towards my right side, suddenly I felt something wet at my nose. And, everything in front of me became black.

Lara texted in the group, that, she has heard the screams of David. We all read that text and went towards the way, Lara said. We rushed towards that place. I didn't want her to be in danger again. 'I hope she is fine.', I thought to myself. I was getting many negative thoughts, while I was running towards the given direction. I just can't be able to see Lara in danger.

After, some time, we reached the hut. But, it was all silent. I couldn't see anyone. "Guys, wait. I think something is wrong." The inspector said, showing us his hand. "But, Lara might be in danger." Mia said, panicking. "Mia, wait. It's for her own good." Leo said, holding her hand.

"We can't just wait here and watch. We need to do something." Tristan said, with wide eyes. I was gobsmacked. I didn't know, if the inspector was right. I needed to fine Lara. My life. "Inspector, we should go inside the hut. Tristan is right, we just can't wait here." Ashton said, putting a hand on my shoulder. "But, it's dangerous. We have to take precautions." The inspector said, with a tension on his face. "But, we have to do something fast." Leo said, with a stern look.

I ran. I just couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to save her. "John, wait." Leo shouted. "John." I heard the inspector shouting, behind me. Everything was going on according to the plan, but, I didn't know, this would happen. I didn't stop.

I kept on running, until, I reached the door. I pushed the door open, but only to see dark around. No one was here. Everyone got in, behind me. But, they were shocked as me. ''Where the fuck is Lara?" I Whispered. "Search for clues. Immediately." The inspector said, while switching on the light of his phone. I was still gobsmacked, but, I had to find the clues. We all started searching around. 'I need to find her.', I thought to myself.

After, an hour or so, I heard Leo calling for us. "I have found it." Leo said, holding up a bracelet. "That's of Lara." I said, with my wide eyes. I snatched it away from Leo. "What do we do, now?" I shouted, facing the inspector. "How will we save her?" I again shouted at him.

"John, don't worry. We will get her safe." The inspector said, with a serious look. "John, calm down. We will find her together." Tristan said, keeping his hand on my shoulder. "Bruh, there is no use of shouting and fighting." Leo said, slightly shouting at me.

I gave him the most dangerous look. "I won't get affected to it." Leo said, shaking his head. "John." Mia, whispered. I didn't utter a single word and moved out of the hut with my long strides. I just couldn't take it anymore. On the spur of the moment, I felt someone's gaze on me.

I craned my neck slightly towards the right and saw a shadow of someone. "Who is there?" I shouted, dangerously. Then, I saw the movement of the bushes. Before, that 'someone' could go away, I ran towards it. "John, where the fuck are you going?" I heard, Leo shouting.

But, I ignored it. "John, wait." The inspector shouted. I ignored and ran as fast as I could. From behind, I was able to see that, the 'someone' was a man. "Hey, wait!" I shouted. Before, he could get into the forest, I grabbed his collar by my right hand.

I pushed him on the ground and got on him. I started slapping him, continuously. I didn't realize that, I was being pulled away, until, that man was being seperated by me. I roared. "John shut up." The inspector shouted. Leo and Mia held my arms. Tristan and the inspector held that man.

"Leave me, you fuckers." That man, tried to free himself. The inspector slapped him. And, he stopped jerking his arms. "I didn't do anything." That man said, gritting his teeth. "Then, why were you peeking at us?" I asked, giving him a dead full look.

He didn't say anything. "Guys, leave me." I said, irritatingly. "I looked at that man, for answers. I was about to ask him again, when the inspector started interrogating him. "I saw a late 40's woman with two men and a lady, going that side of the road. "Are you sure? If the things you said, comes to be proved false then, trust me, you will be sentenced to death. And, I'll make sure." The inspector threatened him. The inspector left his collar and he ran away. We all looked at each other and nodded.

We started walking to the opposite road, we came. The road he indictated reminded me of something. 'Why does that road seems familiar?', I thought to myself. "Jo-john...!!" Mia, stuttered. I looked at her and saw her eyes wide.

"What?" I asked, frowning. "That, road leads to Alan's house." Mia said, looking at Ashton. And, that clicked me. Mia was right. "I-I have no idea." Ashton said, shaking his head vigorously. "Mia is so fucking right." Tristan said, with his eyes wide.

"Ash-ton..." Leo said, pausing a gap in between his name, with an utter shock. "I swear to lord, Ashton. If anything happens to Lara. Then, trust me, Alan's head will be on my hand." I gritted my teeth. "I'll kill him by myself. If he does anything to Lara." Ashton said, disgust evident in his eyes. "We will not spare him." Tristan said, furiously.

"Who is Alan?" The inspector asked, scrunching up his nose. "He is Ashton's step brother." Mia said, slowly. I looked at Ashton and he just looked away.

Lara's P.O.V

I woke up in a pitch dark room. 'Did I again got kidnapped?', I thought to myself. How can I be so weak. The tears were falling from my eyes miserably. I couldn't stop crying. 'Shit, what am going to do now?', I thought to myself.

My eyes started burning, due to continuous crying. Suddenly, the door burst open, revealing a lady in her mid 40's. I creased my eyebrows together. She smirked at me. My instinct started screaming inside of me. My instincts were saying that, she is Louise's aunt.

But, I had to confirm it. I was about to ask her name. But, she started speaking. "You whore!! You will join Louise next. Bitches like you, deserve death. Tortures." She spatted, dangerously. I looked at her wide eyes.

"Oh my god! Where are my manners! I am Betty. Louise's aunt. You don't know me. But, I know you. I had to kidnap you and am so sorry about it. I had no other choice left. You saw me with Albert and David. I was about to kill them, but, you came at the spur of the moment. So, you have to join Louise. Next." Betty said, disgust evident in her eyes.

She all of a sudden started laughing, humorously. Anger was radiating from me. I had to control it. Otherwise, the consequences could get worst.

"You ready, slut." She started coming towards me, gradually. I was scared. "You psycho. How can you be so cruel? How can you even kill Louise? She always loved you and you killed her. You abnormal psych-" I was about to complete my sentence when she suddenly grabbed a hand full of my hair.

She pulled my hair back with a hard force. "Aahhh..." I screamed. My scalp was paining, now. "Shut the fuck up. Whores like you doesn't even have any rights to speak. Not.a.single.word. Do you understand?" She gritted her teeth.

The corner of eyes started gathering tears. I left a whimper. "Awww, feeling like to cry?" Betty asked, sarcastically. "Wh-what will you ge-get by do-doing a-all th-this thi-things?" I stuttered. I wasn't able to speak. My throat was all sore.

"I'll get free." Betty spatted. "You have a visitor. I hope you will enjoy." Betty smirked. My heart started beating fast. The door opened and he came in. My heart skipped a bit. He smirked at me.

"Alan." I whispered, in disbelief.
