An Ton's Journey

~ In the morning ~

After waking up, I went to the holo net, as I really wanted to read something just because I didn't want to do anything at all. How can I feel morning weakness? I not a living being!

Well, it is good that I can feel at least something physical now. This feels soo good...

I read until it was time to sleep. Anyone trying to get me off from my reading, were being said to relax and go away. I was busy.

It is really interesting how some things are still interesting even after becoming a robot.

After a couple of days of reading and chatting with people, I decided to finally go out and find a way to play games if there are any.

And yes, there were some games, but they too were underdeveloped like films.

But these games had a very glaring difference to Earth's ones. They were mostly single player games. And there were no games that were being played using holo net. At least we didn't find any.

As I bought a lot of different games and three devices for playing, we now could place them on the ship and enjoy thus Universe's take on them.

I hope They would be good.

After it, we visited park. There were a lot of interesting plants, some of them were behind the glasses as they were dangerous.

As I spent days and weeks mostly reading of playing games, these were enjoyable times. I feel nostalgic about my previous life.

Even though It was not really hard to accept my new self, I felt some sadness being away from my family and not being able to talk or see them ever again.

I think these feelings should be stronger, but I was never really empathetic person.

As month passed, Smiths sent me information about current progress and estimation of finishing date.

They already finished planning the ship and building supporting carcass of the ship. Now they only wait for more resources to get good quality stuff to finish their work.

Huh, so soon I will be able to finally begin exploring the universe? Finally!

As weeks were going by, war was finished and peace was signed. We would keep four planets we captured and they would pay us some things every year. Like percentage of taxes or something like that. I don't remember. I was reading when these news came in.

As my ship was finally done, and crew began boarding the ship, I remembered that I still had a lot of clothes and some of them for a beach...

Well. F.

I forgot. I better go to the beach with guys at some point in the future. They are really nice guys, at least to me.

My new ship looked strangely resembling han-solos ship. But it was different. and the main difference is that it is based on the Mothership structure.

In the center it is a core, and on the outside a circling ship. Even though it is based on it, it is much smaller and does not need to move it's outer part around the core.

The front of it is still Arbiter, and to it a big circle ship is connected in such a way that you would not believe they are two ships.

When I said I wanted a strong shield I did not mean shield that is used on the Mothership...

It was the most pricey stuff. It alone was worth three million with already known technology, mostly because it was required for it to be as strong as on ms, or even better.

My ship with the size of thirty meters in diameter and ten meters in height in central and highest part was not even as big as normal Arbiter.

As I saw in the war, normal arbiters have the sizes of around 140+ meters in length and 60+ meters in width.

They are really big. And I thought mine was normal. It seems it was a compact version of the normal with capabilities even better then normal.

It was connected to the front of the ship in such a way that you would not think of it as a different ship. It was inserted partially in the disk part, so it was not much longer in the front outside of the disk. Couple of meters, yes. But it was so organically connected, that it is hard to imagine it being different ship.

When disconnected, bigger part of the ship resembled the front part of Han Solo's ship, but with wider gap.

There were a lot of devices on the outer part of the ship, so masked rails for moving cannons were not glaringly obvious. There were four cannons on the top and the bottom of the ship. They all were mainly inside the ship and would only be released outside when needed.

But they still could not compare to Arbiter's weapon.

As ship was being built, protoss tested it's durability, speed and firepower.

It's max speed in the atmosphere reached mach 10... Frankly saying - very very very very fast. Much higher then any other ship from current world.

It's weapon had an ability to shoot up to sixty shots per second in bursts of no more then five seconds, or continuously shoot twenty shots per second for a long time. Really long time. I mean, forever. Without heating up or using all energy.

They could not lift current limits for it because I was needed for it and I was relaxing on other planet and did not want to do anything. I was busy.

Its hull was as strong as Nexus's. At least close to it. To what side? I don't know. They couldn't take any piece out of it for more detailed research as it was too hard for currently available things. And war was still going on at that time.

Now, with my beautiful grey ship It was time for inspection from inside.

Entrance was below the ship, it was wide and pretty long. perfect for big vehicles.

from the inside there was main circling corridor and many other rooms.

The main thing that should be mentioned are the core that provided a shield for the ship.

Normally it could provide shield for a ms with diameter of at least 3km, so imagine its strength when it only need to protect 30 or so meters instead of 3000.

As hyper drives with class of 2.0 were around the same as warp drives in speed, just a little slower, they used different technologies that could be researched more and made much better, as it functions using different principles and have a very long way to perfection. Or kind of perfection, as it is unreachable.

As Ship needed a name, I gave it a name for some time, until I think of a Suitable one.

I called it Ardis.

No, not Tardis.

Tardis is too advanced of a technology to even think about.

As all the resources were loaded in, we took off. Rattatak.

And it is gonna be a looong flight.

In total, there were twenty one person on the ship. All off them except Aden and Oden were new to me, so I just talked a little bit with them and we headed to another planet.

The closest planet to Tatooine with known coordinates. As I really wanted to meet someone I only saw in a movie. And I was not really interested in travel for now, only in getting there.

Reading and playing games is pretty interesting too, so I will travel slowly and relaxedly after meeting or seeing the future Darth Vader.

How long will this travel take? who knows?

It is pretty long distance. I would say very long one. It should take at least two months. I think. If they make some stops, maybe longer.

And Protoss are really op. Their army is fcking insane. Especially now, as they would not be limited by resources. At least not very limited.. They have shop now.
