Amongst the Stars, Out in the Ocean, There's You

Chapter 35:The Scar on Your Back

Looking at the woman who was working so hard on complimenting him, Su Mohan's eyes twitched.

Did she really compare him to registered massage therapists? Is she treating him like a servant!

Despite his running thoughts, Su Mohan didn't stop his movements. He merely hissed, as if he didn't mind this comment.

Ye Fei stuck out her tongue. The temperature in his fingers was relatively cold and was smoother than a woman's hand. As they massaged the cream into her wounds, Ye Fei felt so comfortable she was almost screaming. In her mind, she thought how even if the Su empire collapses one day, this man will not starve to death because of these great techniques of his. Oh no, he didn't even need techniques. With a face like his, he will never have to starve…

Remembering all the torture he brought her these last two months, Ye Fei began to enter into her imagination and thought, if one day, Su Mohan goes bankrupts but she herself successfully turns into a millionaire, she would put on long black boots matched with a cool pirate's costume, and carry a whip that she would use to swing at him aggressively!

Su Mohan didn't know what Ye Fei was picturing but continued to somewhat impatiently work out the bruises on Ye Fei's back. For some reason, these purple and green bruises were unpleasant to his eyes, making him annoyed. His fingers ran upward inch by inch, then he suddenly stopped.

"It's good now?" Sensing the pause, Ye Fei tilted her head and asked

He frowned but didn't answer. His gaze landed on Ye Fei's snow white and silk-like back. His fingers were circling an inch-long flesh-colored scar. The scar bulged out, like a pink silkworm, causing an imperfection on this perfectly white back.

Noticing his tightening brows, Ye Fei's heart skipped a beat. Oh crap, she had forgotten about the ugly scar on her back. She feared that a man like Su Mohan would never accept the existence of such imperfection!

The gloominess surrounding Su Mohan grew heavier and heavier. He extended his fingers and touched the scar. Ye Fei didn't react, making it obvious that this wound was an old one.

Ye Fei faked her collectedness and did not break the silence. Her heart, however, was up to her throat. Does he mind? Is he disgusted? Is he going to stop summoning her? Did she lose all progress because of this scar?

She remained too scared to speak and pretended she didn't know what was going on to see how Su Mohan would react.

But his action made her heart feel cold. Su Mohan grabbed the blanket and threw it on her body, covering up her naked skin. He then walked over to the window.

Ye Fei's heart continued to tighten for a while but then slowly dropped down.

As expected, this is the reaction he should have…

Did you really expect him to ask you if you are cold or hot? Did you really expect him to pour you a glass of wine so you can talk about the story behind this scar? How stupid!

Ye Fei silently lied on her bed. Her cat eyes stared at the dim light by the bedside and she didn't blink for a long while. Only until her vision got hazy and dry and only until her nose felt sour, did she turn her head around and tightly hug the bed.

She just wanted a break. Just a little while…

Just for a little while, she didn't want to smile despite the pain. She didn't want to fake excitement despite feeling disappointment. She didn't even want to wish for a lavish life like the one she's had before but she was getting tired and she was getting wounded. She just wanted to find a quiet corner and tend to her wounds. After she regains her breath, she can once again put on her bright armor and continue the fight.
