Almark – Northern Sword, Southern Wand
despicable
Almark felt one strange, terribly cold, and deadly gaze in everyone's eyes.
Wallis. Staying away from the circle and staring at Almark.
Why should I be so hostile to honorary class members I've never spoken to? Almark had no idea.
All right, that's it.
Bowen, who was watching the end in silence, finally came in.
"Torque, Almark, don't put the class in the duel. Torque, no injuries."
The torque nods silently. Bowen raised his voice to everyone.
"Everybody listen. Now it is only one subject of upbringing, but in wartime, martial arts was paramount. There was a time when it was more important to have the sword's arm folded than to be able to read."
Bowen adds that I wasn't even born that long ago.
"Martial arts is not dance. The essence of this is how skillfully it hurts the opponent to quickly die. No matter how many times we diverge from the war, it doesn't change."
Everyone calms down and listens to Bowen as if the hustle and bustle just now were a lie.
Bowen saw the torque.
"So it's no mistake to have the temper to defeat the opponent during practice. Rather, it can even be said that martial arts cannot be established without that temperament. Torque, you're right about that."
Unexpectedly praised, the torque looked bad. Bowen continued.
"But you put hatred into that temper. Fighting and hatred are not synonymous. Martial arts do everything in their power to defeat each other, but there must be respect for each other. Torque, all you need is respect. Without it, whether martial arts or magic, we can never approach the essence of this technology, even if it's just a rumor. Save yourself."
"... yes"
The torque fell down.
"Okay, Almark."
Bowen called, and Almark raised his face.
"You put a torque on it."
"... yes"
Almark nodded honestly.
"I don't know what happened between you and the torque. But you set a trap and provoked a far less powerful opponent, trying to get what you wanted. I call it despicable."
Bowen looked hard at Almark.
"The despicability of trapping and humiliating your classmates is rhetorical. Save yourself."
"... yes"
When Almark answered, Bowen softened his expression.
"But everything has a motive, a purpose. Almark, I'm glad to hear that."
To his surprise, Almark saw Bowen.
"You're right. What about the nobles in this academy? What about the civilians? I won't allow anyone to say that."
Bowen looks around everybody's face and returns to Almark.
"You made a mistake this time, but you did the right thing. So let's forgive this vileness for once."
"... thank you."
Bowen laughed hard as Almark lowered his head.
"But my biggest forgiveness is that you chose my rare class as your stage. Resolve your class rubbing in your teacher's class. This is the most sinful. So, Almark, I'm ordering you to clean up your martial arts class this year."
When class was over and Almark started his first job, Wendy started helping him without saying anything. Morgan and Nelson do the same.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa."
Bowen, who was looking at it with a bitter smile, suddenly had a harsh look on his face and whispered to Almark.
Almark, go to the dean's office after school today.
