Alexander Prince - Half Blood Potter

"I killed a full grown Mountain Troll. Now how did it even get in here?" I say nonchalantly like this kind of thing happens all the time.

"Yes we can see you killed the Troll but how?"

"I thought it was my turn to ask a question." Harry launches himself at me and wraps his arms around my waist. He was sniffling into my robes. I rub his back a bit.

"I thought you were dead. Hic when the troll hit you I was so scared you were gone" Harry sobs into my robe. He still isn't fully over what happened at the Dursleys, maybe he never will be. I guess seeing me get hit terrified him because he thought he was losing his Pillar of Support, that is me.

"It's alright Harry. You know nothing could take me out let alone a little troll" I say comforting him when McGonagall coughs

"Mr. Prince will you please tell us what happened?"

"Well I noticed one of your lions was missing from the feast and I asked about it. I learned she was in here crying" Hermoine slowly exits the stall, Envy had changed form and sneaked over to the troll and began to absorb some of it's blood. She then makes her way over to me and like hHarry began to sob into my robes.

"I left the feast to come and check on her but as it was already getting later into the feast I had a house elf bring us food here to eat instead."

"Mr. Prince you aren't allowed to use the house elves like that" I shrug at her response

"Anyway we were talking and then we smelt a stench when we then saw the troll. I had Hermoine hide in the stall with Envy to protect her as I distracted the Troll until help arrived. But then Harry and Ron barged in, Rons scream attracted the trolls attention and it turned towards them. So I attacked it's leg to draw it's attention back to me when it struck backwards and hit me into the mirror. Actually Harry could you move a little. You are pressing on one of my broken ribs"

Harry shifts a bit and apologizes. "Next thing I knew I was beating the troll with it's own club and you all came in and started questioning me. Now how did a Troll get into the 'Safest School in Europe'"

"That is most impressive Mr. Prince but reckless." I see they are still avoiding how a troll managed to get in here. "What about you Mr. Potter and Mr. Weasley?"

"Well" Harry says as he let's go of me as if finally realizing what he was doing "When Quirell came in and yelled about the troll in the dungeon and you sent us to our common rooms we knew Alex and Hermoine didn't know about the troll so we came to get them only to find the Troll already here. Alex got hit trying to save me and Ron but then he got back up and began to win against the troll."

"Wait wait wait! A teacher came in and said there was a troll in the dungeon?" I look at the teachers.

"Yes professor Quirell found the troll" Said Dumbles. So Quirell just happened to be the only teacher not in the Great Hall, not to mention why he was in the dungeons. Or maybe the fact that the troll was found on the second floor which is 2 floors above the dungeons.

"And you sent the students back to their common rooms?" Some of them nod "And you were told the troll was in the dungeons where the Slytherins common room is located where you just told the Slytherins to go." oh now they finally realize they made a mistake "Not to mention me and Hermoine didn't get the message and had to have two students come to tell us."

"We weren't aware any students weren't at the feast." McGonagall tried to explain.

"I know for a fact that one you are only required to be at the Sorting Feast and Leaving Feast. I know for a fact that some Ravenclaws, and a few other students such as Hermoine, will sometimes skip meals to study in the library."

"Y-yes in hindsight that is what we should have done" Said Flitwick. Snape though looked almost proud seeing me verbally lash at the other teachers.

"I think 40 points are in order for Mr. Princes actions of defeating a grown Mountain Troll, 10 points for coming to the aid of another student should also be awarded to Ronald Weasley, Harry Potter, and Alexander Prince for coming to the add of a fellow student" Said dumbles. I feel he is trying to change the subject "Now all of you should go back to your common rooms"

"I think I will go with the Gryffindors, to Madam Pomfreys, Hermoine seems to still be in trauma over this" Seriously do they even think before they say shit! four students just had a life threatening experience and they want us to go to our common rooms instead of getting checked up by the nurse

Dumbasadoor coughs and looks away "Also I need to get in touch with the goblins so they can deal with this troll"

"What do you mean Mr. Prince?" Said McGonagall

"Wizarding Law states that since I am the one who 'conquered' the troll then it's body and that club belongs to me by Right of Conquest. Thus I need the goblins to come so it can be taken away and dismantled for parts. I think I will send the club home as a trophy". I then began to head out "Oh one last thing. Can you call me by my first name? Mr. Prince makes me sound old"

Envy had already phased out the room and was waiting for me in the hall, where she was in the form of a small blue bird, and landed on my shoulder, on the arm Hermoine wasn't clinging too.

Back with the teachers.

"Look here. There is a large burn on the trolls left leg right by the knee" Flitwick points out.

"How did he manage to pick up the trolls club anyway?"

"I would say,Minerva, is that he temporarily accessed his bloodline due to the sudden threat to his life" Said Dumbledore as he examine the wreckage of the bathroom

"Will he be a danger to the students?" Asked McGonagall seriously.

Snape scoffed "I highly doubt it. Alex has far too much control to allow himself to be a threat to a student." Though he didn't mention the fact that Alex will be a threat to anyone who, as Alex put it, pokes his reverse scale.

"But he lost control when he fought the troll" she retorts.

"I have to disagree Minerva. If he truly lost control he would have attacked like a beast. Instead he took the trolls club and used it against the troll. To think of breaking the trolls wrist to get the club required a rational mind" said Flitwick though he secretly added 'Or a warriors mind' in his thoughts.

Later that night. I knocked on Snape's Lab door. I wait a bit then I slowly push open the door to see he isn't in the lab but there is a light coming from the back room where he had one of his offices. So I walk over and I see him talking to a First Year, a hufflepuff to be exact. The hufflepuff looks back at me and began to panic.

She had brown hair and brown eyes. In fact I think I saw a girl who looked like her in pigtails at the Gryffindor table next to Fay Dunbar. I look at her panicked expression and her desperately trying to hide her arms in her sleeves. "Is this one of those" Snape nods. I reach into my trunk and get a box of Reese's Pieces.

I walk over to the panicked puff and I hand her the box "It's ok love. Here have some candy." I say with a gentle smile on my face. She looks at Snape then me then back to Snape who nods slightly and then she takes the box.

Snape may seem like an angry and bitter man and he is. But he is also the one all the kids from bad homes go to to get help and advice. In fact he always keeps a few boxes of potions in his office just for this kids. He gives them to the abused from ALL houses not just Slytherin and this is why the older abused kids advise the youngers to go to him in secret like this Mulligan girl

"Should I wait til your meeting is over with?" Snape nods "It is a pŀėȧsurė to met you Trish" her mouth was agape when she heard me use her name. I don't see why it is surprising when I watched her get sorted.

I then head out and I check out Snapes potions cabinents. A few minutes later Trish come sout "T-thank you for the candy. It was very good" She says shyly and I smile at her

"It's alright. Hey, whenever Snape isn't available you can come to me. I'll have some candy and a willing ear to listen to you." She smiles back then leaves so I head into Snapes office.

"What did you need Alex?" he says as he pours himself a drink

"Well I wanted to see if I could use your floo to call Ragnok to get the troll. Also I wanted to check on you as I saw you had a gash on your leg"

Snape doesn't look surprised "Yes you may use my floo and my leg will be fine"

"Did you get caught by that Cerberus?"

"How do you know about that wait nevermind I don't care." He chalked it up to 'It's Alex' "Yes, while the other teachers went to find the troll I went to check on the dog."

"I mean seriously does being a wizard or witch mean you lose your common sense? You heard me point out all their mistakes down in the bathroom. They are teachers who are supposed to guide and look out for the students yet they made so many mistakes today" I shake my head. "Plus I think Quirell is suspicious. Why was he even in the Dungeons let alone the troll was on the second floor not in the dungeons which means he probably lied or the troll was smart enough to climb two flights of stairs in a castle that even first years get lost in."

Snape takes another drink "I got caught by the Cerberus's claws because of Quirell being there. That dithering idiot."

"When will your leg be better?"

"Probably a week. Cerberus bites and cuts are harder to heal with potions and spells than regular bites and cuts." I nod "Well go ahead and use my floo, we wouldn't want you out after curfew after all." I chuckle a bit and head to his chimney

The next day at lunch "Do-do you mind if I sit here with you all?" Said Hermoine as she stood by my groups table.

"Not at all book worm" She smiles slightly, even though that nickname upset her just yesterday. She sat down at our table. I continued trying to flirt with Tonks, who would come sit with us sometimes, when Snape came over, limping.

"Good luck out there today Alex, Nott and you too miss Davis. I would very much like to see the Quidditch cup in my office this year." He then walks away.. That cut on his leg must be hurting him when he walks.
