After dinner, Huo Nianning consciously gathered up the dishes and went to the kitchen to wash them.

In the living room, Jiang Nian cuddled up with his dear husband and watched a TV drama sweetly together on the sofa.

The silly and sweet female protagonist did not listen to advice and always caused trouble for the male lead, which made Jiang Nian clench his fists.

After a while, he couldn’t take it anymore and suggested, “Honey, this is too dumb. Let’s watch a movie instead.”

Huo Chengyuan nodded. He wasn’t particularly interested in TV dramas, but he often heard his secretary mention this one and thought it was a good one. He didn’t expect it to be a silly and sweet type.

Jiang Nian remembered that his husband liked horror movies, so he found a newly released horror movie.

He first paused the TV drama, then opened his husband’s arm, and obediently snuggled into his arms, placing his arm on her plump little belly and comfortingly patting it before pressing play.

Eerie music came out of the TV, and Jiang Nian’s face suddenly turned pale. He grabbed the man’s hand and leaned back, snuggling even closer to him.

“Jiang Jiang?”

The boy was leaning against him, and the warm touch of his chest and palm made Huo Chengyuan, who had not had intimate contact with anyone for a long time, hesitate for a moment.

“Uh?” When he heard his husband calling him, Jiang Nian tilted his head and looked at him.

“My dear, don’t be afraid, I’m here with you,” he said, patting his chest, looking reliable.

But as soon as he finished speaking, a sharp and ear-piercing background music scared him into hiccuping.

“I’m, I’m not scared. I just ate too much and hiccupped,” the boy defended himself with a pair of red eyes.

Clearly scared out of his mind, he had to pretend to be calm and comfort himself.

Huo Chengyuan was amused by the boy’s behavior. He leaned back on the sofa, pulled away from the boy, and with a smile, said, “I know you’re not scared, but what about me? Should we keep watching?”

“No, no more!” Jiang Nian shook his head quickly.

It was too scary. Just the background music was already so scary. He was afraid that the actual movie would scare him to death.

He grabbed the remote control and quit watching, feeling alive again in an instant.

Although he couldn’t see the boy’s expression change, the sudden relaxation of his shoulders made Huo Chengyuan curve his lips.

After washing the dishes and coming out of the kitchen, Huo Nianjing couldn’t help but take a look at his friend who was sticking to his dad like glue, then turned around and walked upstairs with heavy steps.

He couldn’t stand being in this house for even a day.

Huo Chengyuan watched TV with the boy for a while, then answered a phone call around 9 o’clock and went to the study to deal with some documents his secretary had sent him. Instead of immediately going downstairs, he turned around and went into his son’s bedroom.

Huo Nianjing was playing a video game with his friends when he saw his dad standing at the door, looking displeased. Nervously, he ended up giving his opponent first blood.

“What the hell, you’re acting like me, Huo Nianjing! Giving first blood in the first 10 seconds?!” His friend exclaimed angrily.

“Sorry, I have something to deal with. I’ll take us to Glory next time!” Huo Nianjing was also in a hurry, so he quit the game and realized his feet were still on the table. He quickly put them down, sat properly with his hands on his knees, and then reluctantly called out “Dad.”

“Okay.” Huo Chengyuan nodded. “If there’s nothing else, go downstairs and keep your brother company for a while.”

“Huh?” Huo Nianning looked confused.

Wait, why do I have to keep him company again? Isn’t it a sleazy behavior for you to always ask others to keep your own wife company?

Seeing his son’s expression of resistance, Huo Chengyuan looked at him and spoke gently, “Nianning, although society is not yet tolerant enough of homosexuality, as long as you are happy and living a fulfilling life, and your partner’s character is good, I will treat them like family. Do you understand?”

Huo Nianning nodded and gave his father a thumbs-up. “Dad, you are the most open-minded parent I’ve ever seen.”

So, is Dad giving himself a preventive shot and preparing to come out to him?

Huo Chengyuan thought his son understood and planned to give him some time to prepare himself before he told him the truth. But it would be more appropriate for his son, as the boyfriend, to take care of him himself.

“I have some things to take care of. Nianning is watching TV downstairs. Don’t spend all your time playing games upstairs alone, spend more time with him.”

Huo Chengyuan was worried that if he pressed too hard, he would trigger his son’s rebellious psychology, so he added, “He’s still recovering from his injury and his emotions are fragile. Having someone with him will make him feel better.”

“You’re afraid he’ll be too lonely by himself.”

Huo Nianning understood. He thought his dad was quite qualified as a lover, even busy with work, he still remembered to let his son accompany his stepmother to pass the time.

“I’ll play games with him for a while,” he said, picking up his gaming equipment.

Huo Chengyuan nodded, “Don’t play for too long. Remember to remind Nian Nian to take his medicine after half an hour. He knows which one to take.”

“OK.”

In the living room downstairs, Jiang Nian was holding the remote and waiting almost falling asleep, but the man hadn’t come back yet.

“Do you want to play games together, Nian Nian?” Huo Nianning came downstairs and asked.

Seeing that only he came down, Jiang Nian couldn’t muster up any energy, holding a pillow with a little curly hair drooping, listlessly.

“I don’t feel like playing. Where’s my husband?” he said.

“He went to work,” Huo Nianning replied.

“Oh.” Jiang Nian glanced upstairs, his expression somewhat mournful as he muttered, “Work, work, all you care about is work. I’m sick, don’t you know you should spend more time with me?”

“Don’t be sad. My dad is off tomorrow and can accompany you all day.” Huo Nianning said, trying to give his father some good impression. “He’s working hard to clear up his schedule.”

Jiang Nian slowly smiled upon hearing this.

Just comforting someone, so easy.
Huo Nianning saw his friend’s smile and thought smugly in his heart.

The game group was urging them, and Huo Nianning asked Jiang Nian, “Do you want to play the game? We need one more player for the 5v5 team, and you’re the best at playing the mage position.”

Jiang Nian nodded and said, “Let’s play.”

Ten minutes later –

“Damn it! The opposing mage and jungle came over. Why didn’t the mage signal? Come on, don’t come over here. I’m already dead. What’s the point of coming over now to just leech off the experience?”

Huo Nianning frowned and looked at his friend, comforting him, “Don’t be angry, Nian Nian. He’s like that. He often scolds me too.”

“It’s okay. It was my fault this time. I didn’t signal the marksman in time,” Jiang Nian held his phone and felt a bit of self-blame.

After clearing the lane, he saw that the opposing mage had disappeared, and quickly sent a signal of missing, then rushed to the top lane, but the marksman was already dead.

“Damn it, how can we play like this? It’s only been ten minutes, and I’ve died several times already.”

“Doesn’t our mage support us? Look at the opposing mage. They’re either in the bottom lane or the top lane, while you’re like a timid turtle hiding under the tower, not daring to leave. With your level, you shouldn’t be playing games, or you’ll just end up dragging people down!”

The marksman kept nagging and talking endlessly, and even Jiang Nian, who had a good temper, couldn’t help but get angry.

“You died so many times, what does it have to do with me? I didn’t give signals and support once, and you got caught because you were too reckless. You didn’t know your own strength with an assistant by your side. You even flashed over the tower to give the enemy a kill. The enemy’s jungler is 7-0, and two-thirds of it is thanks to you. Even the jungler will praise you as a living Buddha in his dreams at night.”

“Who did you bring in? Are they idiots? I’m a marksman. If I don’t find a way to develop quickly, how can we play the game in the later stages? You, as a mage, have no awareness at all. I spam my attack signals, but you just abandon me and the support to go back to the middle to farm.”

“Are those minions your parents? What’s wrong with missing one? Wouldn’t it be better to kill enemies together with me? You really can’t carry the game… Where is the support? Come here with me!”

“You’re the idiot! Your whole family is full of idiots. The mage has a record of 4-1, and you have the nerve to point fingers with a negative record of 1-6? Do you really have the face to let the support follow you? Your skin is thicker than a city wall. Let the support come with me, and let the noob send himself to his death. He’s not worth much anyway.” said Huo Nianning

“Stop arguing, the enemy team is currently fighting the boss. Let the marksman farm quietly first, and the support can either go to the jungle or play as a mage. Once the marksman has enough gold, we can fight better.” The player on the side lane said over the microphone.

“Are you all teaming up against me? Fine, I won’t play anymore. You guys can play by yourselves. I want to see how you can win without me.” After saying that, the player stood still, didn’t clear the minion wave to the tower, didn’t join the team fight, and even intentionally revealed their position to the enemy team, causing the almost dead tyrant to be stolen by the enemy support.

“Just surrender, with this idiot marksman, we have no chance of winning.” Jiang Nian was so angry that his head hurt. He reported the player and looked up to see his husband appearing in front of him, causing him to drop his phone in fright.

He… just cursed someone out, and in front of his husband too.

“H-honey.” Jiang Nian looked at his husband’s slightly furrowed brow and apologized while fiddling with his fingers. “I’m sorry, I won’t casually curse at people anymore.”

His husband didn’t like him using foul language. If caught, he would take off his pants and spank his butt. (Note: This is a reference to a common punishment in Chinese households)

Huo Nianning felt uneasy after witnessing his friend’s behavior. He usually swears a lot when playing games, but now he suddenly felt like he had committed some heinous crime, causing him to feel anxious.

“Dad, are you done with your work?” He swallowed and tentatively asked while pointing upstairs. “Can I go upstairs and take a shower? I have to get up early for class tomorrow.”

Huo Chengyuan gave him a glance and said, “Mm.”

The latter felt like he had received a pardon and quickly got up from the sofa and ran upstairs.

His husband had already cleared the scene. What kind of punishment was he going to receive next? Jiang Nian hung his head low, feeling the heat rising from his neck to his face. Thinking about the punishment to come, he shyly clutched the pillow in his arms.

The boy kept his head down and didn’t show his expression. Huo Chengyuan could only see the sharp tips of his ears, which were bright red. He looked down and saw a small ear piercing in the center of the boy’s earlobe, while the other ear was clean and white with nothing on it.”It’s getting late, it’s time to take medicine and rest,” said Huo Chengyuan, withdrawing his gaze.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Nian’s action of hugging the pillow paused.

Has his husband let him off the hook? Although it was embarrassing to be spanked as an adult, occasionally being spanked was not called spanking, but it was considered a form of foreplay.

Thinking of this, he looked up at the man and saw his gentle eyes and serious expression, which did not seem like a lie. He suddenly felt a little lost in her heart.

Huo Chengyuan watched the boy take his medicine, then reminded him not to watch TV for too long before going upstairs to take a shower. However, just as he was about to take off his clothes, he saw a figure flash outside the bathroom. Then, the boy with a pink shower cap on his head poked in with more than half of his body.

“Husband, let me wash your back for you,” Jiang Nian blinked his round eyes and said sweetly.

His gaze then went down to his abdominal muscles, which were even more beautiful than he had drawn them.

He stared at him with shining eyes and his face quickly turned red.
