Chapter 27 Beggar’s Chicken

Li Jing was walking in front, and she could clearly feel a few small cubs chirping behind her. The birds on the tree were so frightened by them that they flew around and screamed.

Jiang Xiaoya may have heard their voices, leaning on her shoulder and whispering "Ahhh" uneasily to her.

Li Jing rubbed Jiang Xiaoya's thin face to comfort her who looked nervous and scared.

"It's okay, these little **** dare to do bad things, mother will deal with them! Xiaoya, remember, I will not offend others unless they offend me. If someone offends me, I will offend them."

As he spoke, Li Jing kissed her on the cheek, "My mother is here, what are you afraid of?"

Jiang Xiaoya looked at Li Jing and blinked. After a moment, her little face finally showed a smile again.

The baby's fat hands hugged Li Jing's neck and snuggled into her arms obediently again.

Li Jing smiled, patted her back gently, and added: "Whoever dares to bully us will be punished twice as much, and Zaizai who has no force value is no exception."

She had already made up her mind when she said this. If the little ones behind her dared to steal her things or scold the little girl again, she would definitely teach them a lesson.

However, she ignored that her pace was not comparable to that of several short legs. After a while, she threw the following little children far away, and no movement was heard.

Li Jing thought for a while and ignored them. She carried Jiang Xiaoya back to the thatched house as quickly as possible. The backpack full of things on her body seemed to be weightless.

The thatched house is still the same as it was before she left, and the two brothers Jiang Xiaowen have not returned since they went to work.

People in this era are very hard-working. They have been busy and working hard under the bright sun since morning. There are very few people who are lazy.

Looking from a distance, the village is peaceful and showing a trend of prosperity.

Li Jing smiled, entered the house and put Jiang Xiaoya on the ground, letting her play for a while while she quickly dealt with the things she got back.

The fruit branches were temporarily placed in a cool corner of the thatched house. Jiang Xiaoya had already eaten enough mulberries and plums. Li Jing was afraid that she would have a stomachache after eating too much, so she didn't let her eat anymore. She threw them on the table she had just made and planned to keep them. Let the boss and the second child come back to eat.

As for the red dates, she poured them into a wooden basin from a few lotus leaves, spread them flat, and simply put them outside to dry in the sun before drying them and making them delicious.

At home, we only have wooden tubs and barrels, and I use two wooden tubs to dry red dates. And the wooden barrel, she wants to hold water.

Li Jing hugged Jiang Xiaoya and scooped a bucket full of water from the river at the entrance of the village. However, after lifting the bucket from the river, she frowned when she looked at the somewhat turbid river water in the bucket.

This water is stagnant. The villagers seem to wash their clothes and discharge sewage in the river, so there are a lot of impurities.

Li Jing felt disgusted for a moment, and then found it funny again.

Think about it: In the last days, I could drink water containing viruses and bacteria without changing my expression, but now I still dislike such small impurities?

However, always drawing water from the river is not an option. It depends on when a well must be dug.

There is a well in the village, which is specially used for drinking water for the villagers. There are people drawing water near the well all the time, but Li Jing's scalp goes numb when she thinks about meeting acquaintances and dealing with them.

In the final analysis, she is an outsider, and living in the end of the world, she does not know how to deal with the complicated interpersonal relationships in "Li Jing's" memory. There are many people in the village who are familiar with "Li Jing"!

After thinking about it for a while, Li Jing gave up.

The world is vast, and eating is the biggest. Go back and eat the pheasants first.

On the way, Jiang Xiaoya dozed off. She got up early in the morning and she couldn't bear it. Li Jing patted her and he quickly fell asleep on her shoulder.

After returning home, Li Jing put her on the bed and continued her busy life.

Li Jing boiled water, stripped the chicken feathers, disembowelled the chicken, and buried the inedible intestines on the spot.

After handling the pheasants one by one, Li Jing pricked small holes in the chickens with small sharpened wooden thorns to facilitate the flavoring.

After making preparations, she started to use the seasonings.

Mix some green onion and **** water, apply coarse salt, mountain pepper and clean honey filtered from the honeycomb to the chicken body and marinate it. During the marinating process, Li Jing picked a few lotus leaves and put the processed pheasant into it. Wrap it up and tie it up with weeds.

It was also the first time for Li Jing to be the "beggar chicken" in her memory. She was so engrossed in doing it that she didn't notice at all that several of the little cubs who had been following her appeared nearby.
